Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer for a well-established manufacturer based in Staffordshire / West Midlands.
As the ideal candidate for the role you will be a multi-skilled engineer with experience of planned and reactive maintenance within production. You will ideally have worked in a dual (elec and mech) role or at least have a mechanical understanding to compliment your electrical skills. You will be a confident fault finder and ideally have some understanding or exposure to PLC controlled systems. In the role you will be a day shift engineer working within a team to support the manufacturing / production operation with planned and reactive maintenance duties.
There is a range of systems and equipment controlled through various PLC systems with hydraulic and pneumatic elements so the willingness and ability to learn and develop will be crucial. There is a range of new and established equipment making maintenance a key role in the business.
Your duties and responsibilities will include
*Repair all faults arising on any plant or equipment on site
*To respond to breakdowns as quickly and efficiently as possible
*In the event of multiple breakdowns consult with management in order to prioritise
*To carry out planned maintenance and installation work as and when required
*To be responsible for the quality and safety of the work that you carry out in accordance with current legislation
*To log all relevant information and data in the CMMS system
*To carry tasks out to high degree of workmanship in a environment which strives for continuous improvement
*To report and order, when needed spare and critical parts
*To keep the workshop and stores clean tidy and safe at all times
*Ensure you work safely in accordance to H&S policy and standards
