GPN Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Buckinghamshire who are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their team. who are looking to recruit an ambitious This is an excellent opportunity for a nearly qualified ACA or ACCA studier to join a supportive and technically strong firm offering genuine responsibility, varied client exposure and clear progression opportunities.
The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts preparation, with the successful candidate expected to lead audits from planning through to completion whilst working closely with managers and partners. The firm works with a diverse and interesting client portfolio across sectors including renewable energy, construction-related businesses, manufacturing, gaming, charities, professional services and waste management, with turnovers ranging up to £80m.
Key Responsibilities:
*Leading audits from planning through to completion
*Carrying out audit fieldwork both on-site and in the office
*Acting as a key point of contact for clients during assignments
*Preparing statutory accounts under FRS102
*Assisting in the supervision and support of junior team members
*Identifying audit risks and ensuring compliance with accounting and audit standards
*Building strong client relationships and delivering a high level of service
Qualifications and Skills:
*ACA or ACCA part-qualified and approaching qualification
*Strong UK practice audit experience
*Experience leading audits from planning through to completion
*Good understanding of UK accounting and audit standards
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Accounts preparation experience would be beneficial, although candidates with a predominantly audit background will also be considered
*Motivated, professional and keen to progress within practice and a desire to work in audit
