Full job descriptionExperienced Plant Fitter – Full TimeDue to continued growth and expansion, an established waste management and recycling business is looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join its engineering team.
LocationSheffield
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and recycling equipment, including:
*Material Handlers
*360 Excavators
*Loading Shovels
*Trommels
*Crushers
*And associated machinery
Key Responsibilities*Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and servicing
*Responding to breakdowns and carrying out repairs when required
*Diagnosing and identifying mechanical and hydraulic faults
*Completing service sheets and relevant maintenance paperwork
*Working independently and as part of a team
*Supporting colleagues and site operations where needed
Hours*Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
*Saturdays as required: 7:00am – 12:00 noon
Pay & Benefits*£18.00 – £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
*Permanent full-time position
*28 days holiday per year including bank holidays
*Workplace pension scheme

Requirements*Minimum 1 year experience in plant maintenance
*Experience working on heavy plant machinery
*Strong hydraulic and fault-finding knowledge preferred
*Reliable, hardworking, and able to work under own initiative
