A long established and highly respected manufacturing and distribution business based in Basildon is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team on a part-time basis.
Operating within both UK and international markets, the business supplies specialist medical products to public sector and private customers and offers a stable, collaborative SME environment.
This is a hands-on position suited to a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working closely with senior leadership and can operate independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities*Preparation of monthly management accounts
*Full month-end processes including journals, accruals and reconciliations
*Cashflow forecasting and budgeting support
*Variance analysis with clear commercial commentary
*KPI reporting and financial analysis
*Margin, stock and inventory analysis
*Oversight of aged debt and working capital
*Supporting payroll, VAT and external audit requirements
*Identifying process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
About You*Experienced in producing full management accounts independently
*Strong Excel and analytical skills
*Comfortable in a hands on, owner led SME environment
*Experience within stock based, manufacturing or distribution businesses advantageous
*AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA preferred but not essential
What’s On Offer*Paying between £35k and £40k full time equivalent
