A "Good" Primary School located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets are on the hunt for an Assistant SENCO. This is a September 2026 role, full time and employed directly through the school.
The role of an Assistant SENCO will be the following:
*Teaching in an ARP with 6 children in (children are non-verbal / ASD)
*Working & leading an experienced & strong HLTA
*Supporting EHCP applications - writing & carrying out assessments
*Initially working within the Primary School with a view in the long-term venturing over to their Nursery School and providing additional SEN support & leadership
This is the perfect Assistant SENCO opportunity for a Primary Teacher who has a real passion and understanding of SEN. This is also the perfect stepping stone for an aspiring SENCO who huge opportunities to progress throughout.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
*Must be confident in working in a fast-paced environment
*Strong understanding of SEN is required
*QTS is required
*Must be able to plan & teach engaging lesson for SEN pupils
*Carry out data / admin tasks to a high level
*Must be able to work within a large team
