The Role
We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Director of Sport to lead and develop a thriving sports programme within a highly regarded private school in Maidstone. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to shape sporting excellence, participation, and wellbeing across the school.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership of all sports provision, fostering a culture of enthusiasm, achievement, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead, manage and develop the school’s sports curriculum and co-curricular programme
*Inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities to engage in sport and physical activity
*Oversee fixtures, competitions, and sports events
*Manage and support PE staff and coaching teams
*Develop partnerships with external clubs and organisations
*Uphold high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil achievement in sport
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional who:
*Holds QTS or a PGCE (essential)
*Has proven experience teaching PE and leading sport within a school setting
*Demonstrates strong leadership and organisational skills
*Has a passion for developing young people through sport
*Can contribute to the wider life of a busy and dynamic school community
