A leading multi-sector design consultancy is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its Cardiff studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and technically skilled professional to take ownership of the delivery of residential projects across all RIBA stages. The practice works across the residential, commercial, education, and leisure sectors, offering a collaborative and design-led environment where technical expertise is highly valued.

The successful Architectural Technician will:
*Lead the production of detailed technical drawings and construction packages
*Provide technical leadership across all RIBA stages, with a focus on stages 3-5
*Act as a key point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors
*Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant housing standards
*Coordinate with internal and external teams to maintain design and delivery quality
*Mentor and support junior team members
*Manage project timelines and ensure smooth project progression
*Contribute to sustainable and compliant design solutions
The successful Architectural Technician will have:
*A degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology
*Significant post-qualification experience delivering residential projects
*Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
*Strong knowledge of construction methods, detailing, and materials
*Excellent understanding of planning policy, building regulations, and sustainability principles
*Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
*Experience leading technical design and managing team contributions
