Your new role:
Based in Peterborough, you will be joining the UK’s leading water/ clean water equipment and processing manufacturing business, who now, due to continued growth, are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their engineering team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
*Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical components to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
*Perform refurbishment and fabrication of parts and equipment
*Calibrate and validate instruments to maintain accuracy and compliance
*Work independently or collaboratively with qualified fitters, fabricators, welders, and electricians on larger projects
*Quality inspection of equipment, machinery and parts.
This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required.

Skills & Experience required:
*Previous experience in a similar Mechanical fitting/assembly/ fabrication role
*Experience in a similar fast-paced factory/plant environment
*Ability to read and understand technical drawings
*Experience and ability to use handheld machinery, equipment and tools.
*Able to work individually and/or within a team environment
