Based on South Coast, hybrid working
Outside IR35
Length: 3 months
We’re seeking an interim Asbestos Surveyor to support the delivery of a range of special projects across a residential housing portfolio. This role will focus on ensuring asbestos compliance, supporting capital works programmes and providing expert advice across refurbishment and demolition activities.
Key Responsibilities of the Asbestos Surveyor:
*Undertake asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264, including management, refurbishment and demolition surveys
*Support delivery of special projects including capital works, planned maintenance and regeneration schemes
*Produce accurate survey reports, asbestos registers and risk assessments
*Provide technical guidance on asbestos management, removal and remediation
*Work closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure safe delivery of works
*Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
*Monitor contractor performance and oversee asbestos removal works where required
*Investigate and respond to asbestos-related incidents or queries
Skills, Experience and Knowledge required of the Asbestos Surveyor:
*BOHS P402 (minimum)
*Additional qualifications such as P403/P404 desirable
*Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor within housing or public sector environments
*Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation, guidance and best practice (HSG264, CAR 2012)
