We are seeking an Accounts Manager to join a dynamic and fast-moving business. This role is crucial for supporting the finance function in a busy and ever-changing environment. You will be instrumental in managing payroll, invoicing, and the financial operations of multiple live projects.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare payroll data for circa 70 PAYE staff, ensuring accuracy before submission to the external accountant.
*Collate working hours and input into job sheets for payment and invoicing purposes.
*Manage a mix of payment terms across multiple projects.
*Prepare information for and support the submission of VAT returns.
*Handle attachments of earnings orders (AEOs).
*Process employee expenses, including fuel costs and other project-related claims.
*Produce quotes for new clients and incoming work.
*Coordinate accommodation bookings (e.g. Airbnb) for project teams.
*Arrange and manage logistics such as hire vehicles and other operational requirements.
*Support day-to-day finance operations across rehearsals, test builds, and live work.
*Maintain strict confidentiality, especially when working on sensitive or high-profile projects.
*Use Sage to manage financial records and reporting.
*Provide flexible support to ensure the smooth delivery of projects and business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in an Accounts Manager or similar finance role.
*Strong understanding of payroll processes.
*Proficiency in using Sage is essential.
*Highly organised with the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workloads.
*Flexible approach to work with a willingness to support wider business needs.
*Proactive mindset with excellent attention to detail.
*Full UK driving licence preferred.
