I’m currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a market-leading Infrastructure & Projects team in Newcastle.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercial contracts lawyer with experience in infrastructure, PFI/PPP or wider public sector projects to join a nationally recognised team advising on some of the UK’s most significant and complex infrastructure arrangements.
The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative national team advising both public and private sector clients across sectors including:
*Health
*Education
*Transport
*Energy
*Water & environment
*Regeneration
The role will involve:
*Advising on the structuring and delivery of infrastructure and PFI/PPP projects
*Supporting clients with operational contract management matters, including variations, refinancings and contractual interpretation
*Advising on PFI contract expiry and hand-back arrangements
*Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
*Working closely with colleagues across construction, real estate and dispute resolution teams
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships
*Supporting business development and growth initiatives
The ideal candidate will:
*Be circa 5+ PQE
*Have experience in commercial contracts and infrastructure projects
*Have exposure to PFI/PPP or similar long-term contractual frameworks
*Be commercially minded and solutions-focused
*Enjoy working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
*Be confident managing matters and developing client relationships independently
Construction law or project finance experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
