Reed Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with PMLD in a primary school in Plymouth.
This is a highly rewarding role supporting a pupil working at foundation level, requiring a nurturing and adaptable approach to meet complex learning and developmental needs.
The Role:
*Providing 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with profound and multiple learning difficulties
*Delivering tailored activities aligned to foundation level learning
*Supporting communication, sensory engagement and physical development
*Assisting with personal care where required
*Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to implement individual support plans
*Creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
*Have experience supporting pupils with PMLD or complex additional needs
*Be patient, calm and highly empathetic
*Be confident working at a foundation or early developmental level
*Have an understanding of sensory approaches and differentiated learning
*Be comfortable supporting personal care needs
*Be able to build strong and consistent relationships
*Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
