Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join a busy packing team within a well-established produce business. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and will play an important role in helping strengthen the company’s reputation as a supplier of choice.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work within a fast-paced environment and who has Warehouse or Stores Inventory experience.
Responsibilities
Working as part of a small packing team, duties will include:
*Packing fresh produce to required specifications and quality standards
*Labelling and preparing products for dispatch
*Checking produce for quality and presentation before packing
*Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the packing area
*Assisting with stock rotation and storage organisation
*Supporting the wider production and packing teams as required
*Following all company health & safety and food hygiene procedures
*Ensuring orders are completed accurately and within required timescales
Requirements
*Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
*Work well both independently and as part of a team
*Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
*Be able to work efficiently in a busy environment
*Have good attention to detail
*Be flexible to work overtime when required
*Previous packing or food production experience would be advantageous, although full training will be provided
*FLT license
Salary
£13.20 - £13.50 per hour DOE
Working hours
8:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday
A day off in the week if a Saturday is worked
