The role of the Estimator - Architectural & Structural Metalwork will involve:
*Estimating position dealing with a range of high quality balustrades, stairs, balconies and structural steel
*Liaise with clients and designers to gain a full understanding of project requirements
*Liaise with suppliers to obtain costs for materials, labour and plant and equipment
*Produce detailed take-offs and formalised quotations to clients
*Keep internal database and documentation up to date
*Attending at mid-bid & post tender meetings
*Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
*Working on project sizes ranging between £300k - £3m
The ideal applicant will be Estimator - Architectural & Structural Metalwork with:
*Must have 3 years’ experience estimating experience within a specialist subcontractor
*Must have steel fabrication experience however would consider other building envelope backgrounds such as cladding, cladding support systems, metalwork, etc
*Experience working on large scale projects
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*High levels of attention to detail
*Driven, ambitious, self-motivated and a positive attitude
*Capable of working in a fast paced environment
*Be able to commute or re-locate
