About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an adaptable, enthusiastic, and reliable Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming one-form entry primary school in Wigan. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for regular work with a brilliant work-life balance, taking on a crucial PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover role.
As a PPA Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across various year groups from EYFS up to Key Stage 2. This role allows you to focus purely on what you love most-teaching and engaging with pupils-without the added pressure of full-class planning, parents’ evenings, or data tracking.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups (EYFS, KS1, and KS2).
Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods dynamically to suit the needs of different age groups and abilities.
Follow the school’s behaviour and marking policies consistently.
Foster strong, positive relationships with the existing close-knit school team.
What We Are Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to build quick rapport with students.
A flexible "can-do" attitude, comfortable stepping into different classrooms and age groups.
An understanding of the primary national curriculum.
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
Legal right to work in the UK
