Job Title: Senior Estimator – Commercial Painting & Decorating
Job reference Number:
Office Based: Belfast (Site visits typically 2-3 Days per week)
Remuneration: £50,000 + Performance related bonus
Benefits: Car allowance & Comprehensive benefits package
The role of Estimator – Commercial flooring will involve:
*Senior Estimator position dealing with range of commercial and residential flooring projects including painting & decorating, fit-out, strip-out and refurb
*Interpreting technical drawings, generating & following up quotations
*Producing formal quotations to customers
*Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
*Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
*Contacting customers, dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
*Negotiating with clients, tier-1 contractors, project managers, quantity surveyors and internal estimating team
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Commercial flooring with:
*Must have 5+ years Estimating experience within the construction sector
*Highly advantageous to have experience within flooring, fit-out, painting, decorating or come from a closely related background
*Would be an ideal to have experience dealing with Tier-1 contractors
*Good technical knowledge and good understanding of industry processes, materials and costs
*Ideally would have a quantity surveying degree
*Stable career, highly organised with good attention to detail
*Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
*IT literate (Microsoft Office)
*Ability to work in a fast paced environment
