The Role


A well-established heavy industrial manufacturer is looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its engineering team. Working alongside a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll carry out planned maintenance, breakdown repairs, and installation work on factory/process machinery.




Key Duties




*Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)



*Reactive breakdown repairs



*Installation and maintenance of factory/process machinery



*Fault finding on 415V, 240V, 110V & 24VAC/DC systems



*Reading/interpreting electrical drawings



*PLC fault finding (I/O checks only)



*Overhead crane fault diagnosis



*Maintenance of lighting, alarms & emergency systems



*Basic control panel building & CCTV design



*Completing shift reports and working safely







Requirements




*Time Served / Apprenticeship preferred



*NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Maintenance



*18th Edition desirable



*Heavy industrial experience essential



*Slitting/decoiling machinery experience advantageous



*Full UK Driving Licence preferred














*Fuse checks



*Continuity testing



*Insulation resistance testing



*Motor winding continuity testing



*Equipment identification



*Live testing



*Reading electrical drawings



Shift Pattern (40 hrs/week)
Mon–Fri | 6am–2pm / Mon–Thurs | 8pm–6am / Mon–Thurs | 2pm–12am
