An established and growing financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its expanding team. The Role
Working closely with Financial Planners and Advisers, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial advice across pensions, investments, protection, and estate planning.
Responsibilities will include:
*Preparing detailed and compliant suitability reports and recommendation letters
*Supporting annual client reviews and ongoing suitability assessments
*Conducting technical research across pensions, investments, tax wrappers, and protection products
*Liaising with providers to obtain policy information, valuations, and illustrations
*Assisting advisers with client meeting preparation and follow-up actions
*Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring FCA compliance standards are met
*Completing AML and identity verification checks
*Working collaboratively with advisers, administrators, compliance teams, and investment professionals
*Supporting process improvements and contributing to operational efficiencies
Requirements
*Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Paraplanner within a UK financial planning firm
*Level 4 Diploma qualified (DipPFS or equivalent)
*Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, protection, trusts, and estate planning
*Experience preparing suitability reports and supporting annual reviews
*Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
*Excellent communication, organisation, and report-writing skills
*Experience using financial planning and back-office systems
*Ability to manage workloads independently within a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience
*Exposure to M&A or acquisitive financial planning environments
*Experience with cashflow modelling and tax planning strategies
*Familiarity with high-net-worth or complex client cases
