We’re supporting a well-established, fast-paced manufacturing business in their search for an Electrical Engineer to join their on-site engineering team.
This is a hands-on role offering variety across maintenance, installation and small project work, within a busy production environment where engineering reliability is critical.
The Role
Reporting into the Engineering leadership team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical support across site, ensuring equipment is running safely, efficiently and in line with operational demands.
Key responsibilities include:*Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work across plant and equipment
*Diagnosing faults quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime
*Leading smaller electrical projects from initial concept through to completion
*Completing planned maintenance activities using a maintenance management system
*Supporting production teams with reactive breakdowns and temporary fixes where required
*Ensuring all work complies with electrical regulations and internal safety standards
*Maintaining accurate documentation and updating system records
*Managing tools and parts responsibly, ensuring safe and correct usage
*Promoting a strong health & safety culture across the site
About You
You’ll be a proactive and reliable Electrical Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and taking ownership of your work.
We’re looking for:*A recognised electrical qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
*Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
*Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
*The ability to prioritise work and respond effectively under pressure
*A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
*Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
Desirable (but not essential):*Multi-skilled or apprenticeship-based training
*Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH)
*Experience in high-care or food/FMCG environments
