Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will act as a critical link between finance and the wider business, ensuring financial data is understood and leveraged effectively.
Description
Commercial Accountant responsibilities include;
*Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and board reporting packs
*Partner with the commercial team to allocate project costs and monitor performance
*Support and report on Cost Value Reconciliations on a monthly basis
*Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analysis to inform business decisions
*Maintain and update weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
*Collaborate with departments across the business using centralised financial data
*Provide financial insight and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders
*Ensure all reporting deadlines are consistently met
Profile
The successful Commercial Accountant should have:
*Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Commercial Accountant role
*Strong commercial awareness alongside core financial reporting expertise
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict monthly deadlines
*Ability to build strong working relationships across departments
Desirable:*Experience within manufacturing or a project-based environment
*Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
