Pay Rate: £14.24 - £15.67 per hour
are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis within a mainstream primary school starting in September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting a child with global learning delay as they transition from a nursery setting into mainstream education. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the child settle into school routines, access learning opportunities, and develop socially and emotionally within the classroom environment.
The position will begin on a part-time timetable to support a gradual transition into school, with the expectation of increasing to full-time hours once the child is fully settled.
The RoleAs a 1:1 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide dedicated support throughout the school day
*Assist the child in accessing EYFS learning activities
*Support communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
*Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and outside professionals
*Build positive relationships with parents and school staff
*Support with personal care where required
*Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have*Previous experience supporting children within EYFS or SEN settings
*Experience working with children with additional needs or developmental delays
*A calm, nurturing, and adaptable approach
*Confidence supporting personal care needs
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
