Altum Consulting are partnering with a large media business in Central London for a management accountant to join immediately. You’ll play a key role in delivering financial insight, robust reporting and business partnering support to senior stakeholders across a range of business functions, helping to drive performance and support strategic decision-making.

The RoleYou’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting, forecasting and financial analysis, while partnering closely with operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight and support effective decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
Management Accounting & Financial Reporting
*Prepare monthly management accounts for designated business areas and key strategic projects
*Deliver detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary against budget, forecast and prior-year performance
*Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and audit requirements
*Produce clear financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
Project & Financial Analysis
*Track and review project spend and financial performance
*Partner with budget owners to monitor delivery against financial plans
*Support business case preparation and project closure reporting
*Maintain and improve forecasting tools and financial models
Business Partnering & Planning
*Work closely with stakeholders to review actuals, forecasts, risks and opportunities
*Support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and longer-term planning cycles
*Provide financial guidance and challenge to support effective cost management
*Support cashflow forecasting and reporting submissions through finance systems
Continuous Improvement
*Support automation and enhancement of reporting processes and dashboards
*Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and systems improvement projects
About YouYou’ll be a proactive and commercially minded finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and the confidence to build effective relationships across the business.
You’ll have:
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
At least 1 year PQE
High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
