THE ROLE


A fantastic, brand-new position has now become available for a Head of Conference Production, due to continued business growth! As Head of Conference Production, you will develop a long-term content strategy & vision for events and manage a thriving team of producers.


The Head of Conference Production position is a broad role that includes:


*Develop a long-term content strategy and vision for all events including thorough research on event direction and market opportunity
*Secure buy-in for the vision and goals of the content team and proposition - internally and externally
*Work collaboratively with all functions
*Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners
*Develop and manage the production schedule and resource allocation
*Ensure deadlines are met for all events
*Recruit, retain, manage and develop a strong event production team
*Identify skill gaps and devising a training plan to fill the gaps including on the job coaching and training of the core content capabilities (briefs, speaker acquisition, research guidance, onsite delivery, post-event delivery)
*Carry out 1 to 1 feedback sessions with team members
*Personally, work on flagship events in the portfolio including attendance onsite
*Agree, monitor and manage the content budget
*Communicate with other department heads to ensure the smooth execution of events
*Be the ’voice’ of content across events and collaborate with the editorial team to ensure that both products complement each other
*Report to senior management and represent the production team in management meetings
