Start Date: September 2026
A welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Clitheroe is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Music to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis from September 2026 through to December 2026.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their creativity, confidence, and appreciation for music. The successful candidate will contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities such as choirs, bands, or performances where possible.
Key Responsibilities
*Plan and deliver dynamic and inclusive music lessons
*Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
*Assess, monitor, and support student progress
*Contribute to extracurricular music activities and school events
*Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience teaching Music in a secondary school setting
*Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education
*Excellent classroom management skills
*A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing
This is an excellent opportunity for an early career teacher or an experienced music specialist seeking a long-term role in a supportive school community.
