Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Lancaster, Morecambe, and surrounding areas, and we are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2026.
The RoleAs a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
*Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
*Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
*Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
*Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Who We’re Looking For*Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or education setting
*A patient, caring, and resilient approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
