Job Description:
Full job description*Location: Macclesfield
*Job Type: Full-time, Afternoon Shift
*Salary: £28,426 + 15% shift uplift
Join our client’s team as a Production Colleague and support their commitment to delivering high-quality products on time and in full to both internal and external customers. This role is crucial in maintaining production standards across various departments.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Depending on the department, tasks may include:
*Wet lay-up formers and plasters using base materials and solvent-based adhesive, assembly work including inserting beaded inserts, fixing brackets, and metal details.
*Preparation of formers, operation of winding machines, and handling of materials through the production process.
*Sewing of inners on a round-arm sewing machine, cuffing, and joining various connectors using detailed drawings.
*Mixing and pouring plaster into moulds, dressing and waxing plasters before delivery to production flow lines.
*Cutting fibreglass panels, laying up panels using water-based adhesives, and finishing insulation panels.
*Preparation of mixed materials as required by manufacturing plans and general production duties.
*Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, COSHH requirements, and company policies.
*Deliver and book work into the quality/other department when completed.
*Maintain good housekeeping and observe all health and safety requirements of the department.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Good dexterity skills, ability to work accurately and neatly to strict productivity deadlines.
*Enjoy working as part of a team and be flexible in approach.
*Willingness to work additional hours as required.
*Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
*Experience working to technical drawings is a distinct advantage.
*Must demonstrate alignment with company values.
