Role and Responsibilities:
As Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Area Manager in the day-to-day operation of the branch. You’ll help lead the team, support sales growth, and ensure high standards of service, safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
*Support and develop the branch team, providing first-line people support
*Assist in driving sales growth and delivering excellent customer service
*Support daily branch operations, including orders, quotations and job coordination
*Act as an escalation point for customer queries when required
*Support use of digital tools, including job management systems
*Champion health & safety and ensure compliance with company policies
What we’re looking for
Essential experience
*Experience supporting or managing a team in an operational or service environment
*Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on service excellence
*Confident IT and digital skills
*Organised, proactive and detail-focused approach
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Health & safety awareness
*Full UK driving licence
Desirable experience
*Engineering or service background, ideally within hydraulics or a similar industry
*Supervisory or management experience
*NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering, customer service or management
*Knowledge of hydraulics, hoses and fittings
