Rate per day: £280 per day
Contract Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Assessment & Review Officer to support Somerset Council with managing a backlog of phase transfers and drafting EHCP plans.
This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for candidates with strong SEND knowledge and experience managing EHCP processes from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:*Manage a caseload of children and young people within the SEND service
*Work through a backlog of phase transfers
*Draft and amend Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
*Complete all stages of the SEND assessment and review process
*Issue amendment notices and consult with schools/settings
*Maintain regular communication with schools, settings and families
*Ensure ownership and accountability for young people on your caseload
*Work to statutory timescales and maintain accurate records
Requirements:*Previous experience within SEND/EHCP services
*Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
*Experience drafting EHCPs and amendment notices
*Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
*Excellent communication and organisational skills
*Experience liaising with schools and multi-agency professionals
