Rate per hour: £34.82 per hour
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Caseworker to join Wirral Council’s SEND Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong EHCP knowledge and experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:*Act as the main point of contact for parents/carers and young people throughout the EHC assessment process
*Coordinate Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessments for children and young people aged 0–25
*Work closely with families, schools, health professionals, social care and voluntary agencies
*Ensure children, young people and families are fully involved in the assessment process
*Prepare and draft Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
*Ensure statutory timescales are met for assessments and reviews
*Lead and contribute to multi-agency meetings
Requirements:*Previous experience within SEND/EHCP services
*Experience working with children and young people with SEND
*Strong report writing and person-centred planning skills
*Experience leading multi-agency meetings
*Excellent communication and partnership working skills
*Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to deadlines
