Full job descriptionA well-established and highly successful manufacturing business based in North Lincolnshire is seeking a talented and driven Management Accountant to join its finance team. Our client operates across multiple sites and has built a strong reputation for excellence. As the business continues to grow, the finance function plays a critical role in supporting decision-making and protecting business integrity.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate operational financial data, maintaining financial integrity, and ensuring transactional SLAs are met. This is a broad and varied role suited to someone who thrives on ownership and accountability.
Responsibilities:
*Preparation of weekly and periodic management accounts in line with the reporting timetable
*Weekly sales reconciliation, salaries and commission calculations
*Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, with meaningful commentary
*Production of periodic KPIs and reporting packs for the wider business
*Completion of accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
*Responsibility for inter-company reconciliation
*VAT returns
*Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies and company standards
*Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts (company and consolidated group)
*Preparation of audit lead schedules and liaison with external auditors
*Ad-hoc management and statutory reporting as required
About You
*You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant experience in industry and/or practice.
*Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
*Able to work independently and take ownership, as well as contribute effectively as part of a team
*A confident, professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Comfortable dealing with colleagues, stakeholders and external parties at all levels
*A genuine drive to do the job right and challenge the status quo where necessary
*Results-oriented, with strong planning, initiative and business awareness
