Full job descriptionWelsh-Speaking KS2 Teaching Assistant - Caerphilly
Start Date: September 2026
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Caerphilly from September 2026.
The successful candidate will have proven experience supporting pupils within Key Stage 2 and will be confident communicating fluently in Welsh and English. You will play an important role in supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:*Supporting teaching and learning across KS2 classes
*Delivering support to pupils through the medium of Welsh
*Working with small groups and individual learners
*Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management
*Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
*Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:*Previous experience working within KS2
*Fluency in Welsh and English
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
*The ability to work effectively as part of a team
*Relevant TA qualifications or equivalent experience
