We are currently recruiting exclusively for an experienced finance and accounting manager for this interesting not for profit organisation – as the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations and all accounting activities across the organisation
Reporting to the Finance Director, this Finance Manager role will be ’hands-on’ and a varied role, the main responsibilities will include:
*Maintain and reconcile all the transactional accounting activities, including purchase and sales ledger, reconciliations and sales invoices
*Maintain and reconcile the petty cash and staff expense processing including personal and company credit card transactions
*Prepare and submit monthly payroll instructions to the bureau, post payroll journals and reconcile salary control accounts
*Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and reconcile control accounts
*Fixed Assets -maintain the fixed asset register and reconcile fixed asset balances to the nominal ledger
*Prepare quarterly accruals and prepayments and post journals, complete year-end routines and post-audit adjustments
*Produce financial analysis for income streams and assist with preparation of quarterly management accounts
Requirements for this role:
*An experienced and/or part- qualified accountant with significant experience
*Strong finance accounting and transactional finance experience
*Proven experience preparing reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
*Experience in supporting VAT returns and payroll processing
*A reliable and confident self-starter with experience in a ’hands-on’ Finance role
*A strong communicator who is confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders
