Fully office based
This is a broad, hands-on Finance Manager role for a £10m turnover logistics business going through steady growth. You’ll take ownership of the full finance function, support the leadership team with day-to-day commercial insight, and manage one direct report.
It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the operation, likes autonomy, and is comfortable rolling their sleeves up in a fast-moving SME environment.


What you’ll be doing
*Managing the day-to-day finance function
*Producing monthly management accounts
*Cashflow forecasting and cash management
*Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
*VAT returns and statutory reporting
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
*Liaising with external accountants and auditors
*Improving processes and controls where needed
*Managing and developing one member of staff
*Working closely with the senior leadership team on operational and commercial matters


What they’re looking for
*Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role within an SME
*Comfortable managing the full finance function end-to-end
*Strong management accounts and cashflow experience
*Practical, hands-on approach
*Confident working in a fast-paced operational business
*Logistics, transport or distribution experience would help, but isn’t essential
*Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience backgrounds will all be considered
