Full job descriptionPosition - SEN Teaching Assistant
Location - Stockport (SK8)
Pay - £99-£110 per day, depending on experience
Start Date - 01/06/2026
Hours - 8:30am-3:30pm
Are you a kind and compassionate SEN teaching assistant seeking a new role? Prospero Teaching are working with a large SEN provision in Stockport to recruit experienced SEN teaching assistants to join their team.
The school supports pupils aged between 4-19, with complex needs.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
*Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing emotional and academic support
*Maintain regular communication with SLT and third-party agencies to monitor progress and development
*Support the class teacher, creating engaging learning resources
What we require:
*Previous experience supporting complex needs, in a school or residential setting is essential for this position
*A genuine passion for supporting complex needs
*Team Teach training is highly desired
*Up to date Safeguarding in the last year (desired but training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
*Hold Right to Work in the UK
*Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
*Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
