About our client and the role:
Swarm Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a long-established, independent financial planning firm in their search for an experienced Paraplanner. They provide tailored advice to individuals, families, and businesses across areas such as wealth management, retirement planning, and corporate financial strategy. Salary & Benefits:
*£40,000 - £45,000 dependant upon experience
*Office based working with the potential for some home working after probation
*20 days annual leave + BH’s
*Support for undertaking professional exams - financial and study support days
*Pension Contribution - after 2 years of service enhanced benefits including PMI and critical illness cover
Working Hours:
*Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm (1hr for lunch)
*Office closure over Christmas
The ideal candidate:
*Minimum of 2 years Paraplanning experience
*Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning - either fully qualified or some exams completed and with the ambition to becoming a Chartered Paraplanner
*Technical expertise and a strong understanding of pensions, investments, estate planning and protection
*Experience working with complex cases for clients approaching retirement
*Ability to conduct research and analysis and write detailed suitability reports
*Cash flow modelling software experience and technical analysis support tools
*Familiarity with Transact, Aberdeen Quilter and other investment platforms
*A strong understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and compliance standards
*Looking to remain as a Paraplanner and grow into a Senior Paraplanning position
Skills and experience:
*Highly organised with a methodical and proactive approach
*Excellent attention to detail
*Team-working ability with a confident manner to liaise with advisors and ensure the best outcome for the client
*Able to manage multiple cases at different stages and prioritise accordingly
