*Salary: £250 per day
We are seeking a dedicated EHCO Coordinator (SENCO) to implement all statutory duties as set out in the relevant legislation on behalf of the Local Authority concerning Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND). This role requires a professional who is committed to making a significant impact on the lives of young people and their families.


Day-to-day of the role:*Provide statutory advice and guidance relating to the relevant Code of Practice and related legislation.
*Implement, maintain, and review all statutory procedures as outlined in the Code of Practice and Regulations.
*Collaborate with parents/carers, children, and young people to ensure their views and wishes are integral to the assessment, planning, and review process.
*Manage the statutory processes for issuing and maintaining Plans within a defined caseload.
*Produce performance management information relevant to the service.
*Prepare casework for statutory panels, tribunals, and appeals as per legal requirements.
*Prepare high-quality and accurate reports and plans that are statutorily compliant.
*Offer a thorough and sensitive service to ensure a positive and professional experience for all stakeholders, even when outcomes differ from their expectations.
*Handle own caseload, escalating complex cases as necessary.
*Engage in personal development to update knowledge and skills related to national regulations and policies.
*Conduct face-to-face meetings and visits with various stakeholders.
*Promote and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

*Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
*Relevant training and CPD in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
*Experience working across the specialist area of SEND.
*Effective communication and collaboration with various partners, providing advice and guidance to families and professionals.
*Proficient in using management information systems.
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritise workload, and manage time effectively under pressure.
*Committed to continuous professional development and service improvement.
