A well-established Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team on a permanent basis in North Devon.

With a strong order book of secured infrastructure and environmental improvement projects across the South West, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business that offers long-term career stability, a supportive management structure and the chance to lead schemes that make a real impact within local communities.

The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing projects safely, on programme and within budget
*Leading Site Agents, Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors
*Developing and maintaining project programmes
*Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
*Overseeing quality assurance, ITPs and project documentation
*Monitoring project performance, risks and opportunities
*Working closely with commercial teams to ensure effective cost control
*Coordinating design, temporary works and construction activities
*Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards

Requirements
*Previous experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering
*Strong background delivering infrastructure, flood alleviation, earthworks, drainage, highways or environmental projects
*Experience managing projects under NEC contracts
*Excellent leadership and communication skills
*Commercial awareness and programme management experience
*Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams

Qualifications
*HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
*SMSTS
*CSCS Card
*First Aid at Work (desirable)
