We are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join a fast-paced fresh produce business based in Dartford, Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supply chain or inventory professional who has worked within a perishable, FMCG, food, fresh produce or logistics environment and is confident managing inventory, product flow, forecasts, logistics and customer supply requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with sales, sourcing, warehouse, logistics and operational teams to ensure product is planned, allocated and delivered efficiently from packhouse through to customer.
The Role
As Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing fruit inventory, volume requirements and logistics, ensuring product is managed effectively through inbound, onsite and outbound movements.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Managing product storage, inventory, packing and distribution
*Maintaining customer forecasts and forecast accuracy
*Keeping accurate inventory records across stock movements
*Supporting the implementation and management of Microsoft D365 and offline inventory control systems
*Working closely with sales and sourcing teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained
*Liaising with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure correct pallet requirements are allocated and product is prepared for outloading
*Coordinating inbound containers, documentation, transportation and customs clearance
*Monitoring product needs by size, pack, grade, label requirement, country of origin and volume changes
*Supporting sales volume planning while accounting for external factors such as vessel changes
*Developing and improving cross-functional processes across supply chain and sales
*Creating and implementing best practice SOPs
*Building strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
*Identifying process improvements to maximise operational efficiency
The Candidate
We are looking for someone with strong supply chain, logistics or inventory experience, ideally gained within a perishable product environment.
You will need to have:
*A minimum of 5 years’ experience within supply chain, inventory, logistics or a closely related role
*Experience within fresh produce, food, FMCG or another perishable industry would be highly advantageous
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to adapt and develop spreadsheets
*Good analytical ability with confidence reviewing trends, data and stock information
*Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
*The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, time-sensitive environment
*Confidence working with sales, supply chain, warehouse and operational teams
*A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
*Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be beneficial
*ERP implementation experience would be advantageous
