Full job descriptionJob Overview:
Our client is looking for someone to assist with sourcing projects, maintaining vendor management systems, assisting with commercial analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support efficient procurement processes and deliver value-for-money outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting sourcing activities and vendor selection through market research and tender administration
*Assisting with spend analysis, trend analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations
*Reviewing low-risk contract purchases and obtaining pricing and commercial terms
*Supporting vendor negotiations and procurement activities
*Providing sourcing system guidance and support to internal stakeholders
*Assisting with vendor onboarding and contract management processes
*Reviewing purchase requisitions and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures
*Maintaining sourcing databases and ensuring accurate reporting information
*Building strong working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers
*Promoting best practice sourcing and vendor management principles across the business
Person / Experience Required
*Previous administration, procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or customer service experience preferred
*Experience within financial services or a regulated environment advantageous
*Understanding of procurement or contract lifecycle processes desirable
*Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
*Ability to manage workloads effectively and prioritise tasks independently
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Professional and proactive approach to work
*qualification such as CIPS Level 3 desirable, although qualification by experience will also be considered
*Awareness of Consumer Duty (CD), Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), and ESG principles beneficial, though training will be provided
Key Skills Required
*Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
*Good analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
*Proactive and self-motivated approach
*Good negotiation and influencing skills
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Competent in Microsoft Office
*Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately
