An established and growing professional services firm in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its expanding private client team. Offering a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 plus benefits, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced tax professional looking for a technically strong advisory role with progression potential.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality personal tax advice to high net worth individuals and families, while supporting senior leadership in delivering strategic, commercial and operational objectives. This Cambridgeshire-based role offers a combination of advisory, client management and team leadership responsibilities within a collaborative and flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide personal tax advice to clients and colleagues, including support on complex technical matters and planning opportunities for high net worth individuals and families
*Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met and identifying advisory opportunities
*Support senior leadership with business development initiatives, networking and proposals for prospective clients
*Review work prepared by junior team members and provide technical guidance across private client tax matters
*Mentor and support junior staff development, including training and day-to-day coaching
*Ensure compliance with internal risk management procedures and quality assurance standards
*Monitor billing, recoverability and work in progress to ensure commercial targets are achieved
*Maintain strong technical knowledge and contribute to knowledge sharing within the wider team
Candidate Profile
*CTA qualified (essential)
*Additional qualifications such as STEP, ACA or ACCA would be advantageous
*Strong technical background in personal tax with relevant post-qualification experience
*Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory work
*Ability to supervise, mentor and develop junior staff
*Commercially aware with an interest in contributing to business development activities
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Committed to continuous professional development and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge
