Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run business in Northallerton seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role within a supportive and friendly working environment.
As the successful candidate, you will support the day-to-day running of the stores and warehouse function, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately. The role requires a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
· Receiving components and materials from suppliers and customers
· Checking goods-in documentation and verifying deliveries before acceptance into stock
· Picking and packing orders for dispatch
· Loading and unloading wagons
· Maintaining organised and efficient stock locations
· Supporting regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
· Coordinating the dispatch of finished goods
· Manual handling, including lifting and carrying heavy items
· Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
· Previous warehouse experience
· Stock control experience
· Excellent time management and organisational skills
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· Good communication skills
· Proactive, flexible, and hardworking attitude
· Ability to work independently when required and contribute positively within a team
Additional Information
· Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (40 hours per week)
