Location: Nottingham
Type: Full Time | Permanent
Salary: £35,000
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Senior to join a payroll team based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with bureau or accountancy practice experience who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio and working within a fast-paced environment.
The business offers a hybrid working model following probation, with a collaborative team culture and opportunities for ongoing development.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a varied client portfolio
*Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and ensuring excellent client service
*Liaising with HMRC regarding payroll queries and resolutions
*Preparing year-end payroll routines and returns
*Managing Auto Enrolment and statutory submissions in line with deadlines
*Processing CIS returns and related submissions
*Uploading payroll payments via BACS
*Supporting wider payroll team activities and providing cover where required
*Building strong working relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
*Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements
Skills & Experience Required:
*Minimum of 3 years’ payroll processing experience
*Previous bureau or accountancy practice payroll experience preferred
*Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, RTI, statutory payments, and Auto Enrolment
*Experience managing multiple payrolls and working to strict deadlines
*Confident carrying out manual payroll calculations where required
*Strong IT skills, including MS Office
