Full job descriptionHW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a leading construction and manufacturing business, backed by Private Equity and in their next phase of growth, to hire a newly created Finance Manager position.
About the role:
This is a hands-on and varied role, involved in month end process, system changes and process improvements, embedding best practice, and managing a small team. This role is ideal for someone seeking their first step up to a Finance Manager position, offering broad exposure in a fast-growing and successful business.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the management accounting and reporting function across a division of the business
*Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
*Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors
*Review financial statements, month end and year end accounts
*Conduct variance analysis and investigate any discrepancies
*Business partner operational and commercial leaders, to support business decisions
*Work closely with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts
*Present meaningful financial analysis and commentary
*Identify and implement process improvements
*Ad hoc support to Financial Controller and wider team
About You:
*ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
*Strong management accounting or financial reporting background
*People management/mentoring experience
*Proactive and professional in approach
