A warm and welcoming village primary school near Horsham, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing Year 1 classroom, supporting pupils with behavioural and additional learning needs to thrive both academically and emotionally.

The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support for children who benefit from additional behavioural and emotional guidance.
You will:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support within a Year 1 class
*Help pupils build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships
*Support children to engage successfully with learning
*Implement behaviour strategies in a calm and consistent manner
*Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is:
*Passionate about supporting children with SEN and behavioural needs
*Calm, patient, and empathetic in their approach
*Able to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils
*A positive team player with excellent communication skills
*Experienced working with children in a school or care setting (desirable but not essential)
