Full job descriptionA well-established charity is seeking an Interim Finance Assistant to support its finance team on a short-term assignment of approximately 3 months.
This role will focus primarily on income processing and day-to-day finance administration, while also assisting with wider transactional finance duties as required. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team and help ensure financial operations continue to run smoothly during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities*Processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently
*Raising invoices and supporting accounts receivable activities
*Posting bank transactions and assisting with reconciliations
*Supporting cash and banking processes
*Managing finance-related queries via shared inboxes
*Assisting with general finance administration and transactional finance tasks
*Providing support across income and expenditure processes when required
Candidate Requirements*Previous experience working within a finance or accounts function
*Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Experience using finance systems or CRM platforms would be beneficial but is not essential.
Contract Details*Day rate: £150-£170 per day
*Hybrid working arrangement - 2 days in the office
