We’re working with a growing and successful accountancy practice based in Lancing, known for its supportive culture and strong client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a motivated Trainee Accountant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career in accountancy, with full study support and genuine progression.
The Role
You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting duties, working closely with experienced professionals from day one.
Key responsibilities:
*Assisting with preparation of year-end accounts (sole traders, partnerships, limited companies)
*Supporting bookkeeping and VAT returns
*Assisting with management accounts
*Supporting personal and corporation tax returns
*Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries
*Maintaining accurate records and working papers
Study Support
Full support towards a professional qualification (AAT / ACCA / ACA), including:
*Paid study leave
*Tuition and exam fees covered
*Ongoing mentoring and development
About You
*Ideally 1–2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
*Strong interest in pursuing a career in accountancy
*Good attention to detail and numeracy skills
*Confident communicator with a professional approach
*Organised, proactive, and willing to learn
*Basic Excel skills
*AAT studier or looking to begin studies advantageous
