Location: Cardiff
Salary: £35-42,000
A well-established multidisciplinary design consultancy is looking to recruit an experienced Architectural Technician to join its expanding Cardiff office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically focused professional to play a key role in the delivery of residential schemes across all RIBA work stages. The practice delivers projects across the residential, commercial, education, and leisure sectors and offers a collaborative environment where technical excellence and innovation are encouraged.

The role:
* Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction packages
* Taking a lead role in the technical delivery of projects across RIBA stages 3-5
* Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and wider project teams
* Ensuring all projects comply with UK Building Regulations and housing standards
* Coordinating technical information to maintain quality and project efficiency
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
* Managing project deadlines and assisting with smooth project delivery
* Contributing to sustainable and technically compliant design solutions
Requirements for the Architectural Technician role:
* Degree, HNC, or HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
* Strong post-qualification experience delivering residential projects
* Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
* Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and detailing
* Strong understanding of planning policy, UK Building Regulations, and sustainability principles
* Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
* Experience leading technical project stages and managing project contributions
