Reports to: Distribution Manager
Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Driver / Stock Checker to join a busy field operations team. This role is essential in supporting efficient delivery operations and maintaining accurate stock levels across customer sites.
You will be responsible for completing scheduled delivery routes, carrying out stock checks, and ensuring a high standard of service is consistently delivered.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
*Complete daily delivery runs, including scheduled routes and ad-hoc deliveries as required
*Carry out stocktakes at customer locations using a mobile stock management app
*Capture before and after images of inventory storage units during each visit
*Update stock locations and geotagging information via the system
*Accurately record and scan Proof of Delivery (POD) for all deliveries
*Monitor and log any direct deliveries during stock checks
*Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring storage units are clean, organised, and fully stocked
*Perform accurate stocktakes, recognising the operational and financial impact of discrepancies
*Conduct daily vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift, including submitting supporting images where required
*Work flexibly within a shared rota, providing cover for colleagues when needed
*Represent the organisation professionally, delivering excellent customer service at all times
*Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth operations and follow-up where needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Full UK driving licence
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Comfortable using mobile devices and apps for stock management and reporting
*Physically capable of handling small to medium-sized stock items safely
*Flexible and team-oriented, with a willingness to support colleagues
*Good time management and a proactive approach to daily tasks
*Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
Desirable (Not Essential)
*Experience in stock control, warehousing, or multi-drop delivery
*Familiarity with logistics or inventory management systems
*Forklift licence
