A highly respected and forward-thinking law firm with a strong presence in the North West is seeking to appoint an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor/CILEX to join its growing specialist team. The firm is known for its supportive culture, high-quality work, and strong commitment to both client care and employee development.


Your new role
You will play a key role within a collaborative Clinical Negligence team, managing your own caseload of claimant matters while also supporting senior colleagues on complex, high-value and catastrophic injury claims. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied and rewarding caseload while gaining exposure to high-profile litigation and developing your technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
*Managing a full caseload of claimant clinical negligence files from instruction through to conclusion
*Supporting senior team members on complex, multi-million-pound and catastrophic injury cases
*Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal documentation to a high standard
*Conducting legal research and assisting with case strategy and preparation
*Liaising with clients, Counsel, courts, medical experts and third parties
*Attending client meetings, conferences and hearings where appropriate
*Managing key dates, limitation periods and case progression proactively
*Ensuring all files are maintained in line with regulatory and compliance standards (SRA, AML, Lexcel)
*Participating in file audits, risk management and quality assurance processes
*Contributing to a collaborative team culture, including mentoring and knowledge sharing


What you’ll need to succeed
*Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with circa 4+ years’ PQE in Clinical Negligence
*Proven experience managing a claimant clinical negligence caseload independently
*Experience assisting on complex or high-value clinical negligence matters
*Strong knowledge of litigation processes and regulatory requirements
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Strong communication skills with a client-focused and empathetic approach
*High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
*Confident IT skills and experience using case management systems
*A genuine passion for clinical negligence work and achieving positive client outcomes
