The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a growing payroll team within an established accountancy practice environment.
This role offers the chance to manage your own portfolio of client payrolls while working closely with a collaborative team and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
*Process end-to-end weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients
*Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data
*Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, and pension providers regarding payroll queries
*Complete RTI submissions and Auto Enrolment administration
*Prepare year-end payroll routines and statutory returns
*Process Direct BACS payroll payments
*Support CIS tax deducted returns and related submissions
*Ensure payroll deadlines and compliance requirements are consistently met
*Provide support to colleagues across the wider business on payroll matters
The Ideal Candidate
*Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience
*Previous experience within payroll bureau or accountancy practice desirable
*Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
*Experience processing multiple payrolls independently
*Confident with manual payroll calculations, RTI, and Auto Enrolment
*Strong organisational and communication skills
*Comfortable managing multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment
*Experience with Sage, Xero Payroll, Earnie, or IRIS Payroll Professional advantageous
